Back to Basics

Back to Basics logo

While officers often wear body armour for the duration of their shift, the human skeleton is not built to carry around this amount of weight long-term and it could contribute to significant health issues.

To help draw attention to these issues, PFEW has launched an awareness drive, Back to Basics, to highlight the damage that body armour could potentially cause to the wearer and ways to prevent it. We want to work with our members on the importance of looking after your core and wearing body armour appropriately.

Below are some links to information that you may find useful. We will be adding to these as the education drive progresses so please check back regularly.
