PFEW’s wellbeing workstream handles the vital work of making sure that all aspects of members’ health and wellbeing are considered. It meets regularly throughout the year and reports to the National Board.

Our four main areas of wellbeing focus are:

Wellbeing is such a broad remit, and the committee often works with other areas such as operational policing, equality, roads policing, detectives, health and safety, and PFEW’s self-organised groups.

The principal work of the Wellbeing Working Group is to act as a conduit between the Board, Council and regions to:

  • Identify any aspects of wellbeing that require improvement by undertaking research, identifying themes and trends and identifying best practice.
  • Influence how wellbeing is addressed across all forces and key stakeholders at both a local and national level.
  • Propose a package of revisions/ updates to the National Council and National Board for review and approval and engage with key stakeholders.

There are a number of resources available on our leaflets and downloads page.
