For the first time in our 101 year history, our flagship event was presented online, 9-10 June.
Entitled 'Policing Under Pressure' and facilitated by talkRADIO host, Ian Collins, the conference attracted an audience of 1,200 delegates from the UK and overseas, Federation reps, practitioners, policy decision-makers and key policing stakeholders. Guests in attendance included the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC), College of Policing (CoP), Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Service (HMICFRS).
The packed agenda featured keynote speeches from our National Chair, John Apter, and Home Secretary, Priti Patel, and was followed by several panel discussions on topical policing issues, such as Trial by Media, Understanding Misogyny in Policing, Police Recruitment During the Pandemic, Wellbeing, Policing Protests and more.
We highlighted some of the outstanding work of officers over the past 12-months – Dame Cressida Dick presented our Women In Policing Award and host Mark Durden-Smith talked to our Police Bravery award nominees.
Attendees were also able to engage and network with exhibitors, sponsors and other attendees in our online exhibition hall, which featured key policing partners and suppliers, each with a virtual stand for attendees to visit, download materials and/or book virtual 1:1 appointments. The event microsite will be live until 9 July allowing members to visit the exhibition hall and view all the video on demands from each session and roundtable.
