Nottinghamshire Police Federation

Book now for FREE prostate cancer screening

18 April 2023

Nottinghamshire Police Federation has arranged free PSA prostate cancer tests for members aged 40 and over.

The sessions are being funded by the Group Insurance Scheme with donations and support from the GMB and UNISON.

Testing will take place on Friday 28 April at Nottinghamshire Police Federation offices in Arnold and also on Thursday 4 May at Mansfield police station. Both sessions run from 10am to 4pm.

A PSA test is a simple blood test which takes just a few minutes to complete and is currently the best available indicator of a possible prostate problem.

In its early stages, prostate cancer generally produces no symptoms so it is important to diagnose the disease before symptoms arise and while it is still potentially curable.

Members will need to book their test in advance via the website and only those with an appointment can attend. They should use the code NOTTS when booking their place.
