Annual Conference: Busy agenda gets underway

10 October 2023

The annual Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) conference gets underway today.

It will bring together policy makers, policing stakeholders and senior leaders in policing and the Federation.

Some of the biggest issues facing the Federation, officers and the service will be debated and there’s still time for West Midlands Police Federation members to register to be part of it.

The conference will be hosted by broadcaster Ian Collins.

Today’s day one agenda includes discussions on leadership in policing, independent conduct panels, and disclosure and redaction, as well as retirement, misogyny, and Mutual Aid.

The agenda for day two will look at industrial rights as well as wellbeing. PFEW chair Steve Hartshorn will deliver the keynote address and there will be a Q&A panel session.

Outstanding contributions to policing will be recognised through the presentation of awards for excellence in roads policing, detectives, and women in policing.

Members who are unable to be part of the conference can follow it and join in the discussions on social media using the hashtag #PFEW23
