Remembering PC Jeffrey Barnes

Federation branch secretary Steve Grange has paid tribute to West Midlands PC Jeffrey Barnes on the anniversary of his death.

PC Barnes (43) died in a road accident as he was travelling to a motorcycle refresher course on 21 July 1986.

Steve said: “It has been 35 years since Jeffrey Barnes lost his life in such tragic circumstances. The thoughts of everyone at West Midlands Police Federation are with Jeffrey’s family, friends and former colleagues today.”
