Bootmakers Altberg are offering Police Federation members a discount on their products.

Altberg, a British firm with two factories, one in North Yorkshire and the other in northern Italy, has been making boots for UK police forces for more than 20 years.

Tried and tested in the toughest of conditions, the boots are suitable for a wide range of uses including general policing duties, special ops, rural use, public order and motorcycling. The company also makes boots specifically for women officers.

Police Federation members can get exclusive discounts on the whole Altberg range of police boots.

• Officers can get tax relief when buying boots for work since these are classed as employment expenses. Please visit the HMRC website for more information and to fill out a form which then has to be printed off and sent through the post. Federation members can also get tax relief on their membership subscriptions.
