Benevolent Fund welcomes bumper crop of new joiners

17 September 2020

We’ve seen a wonderful boost to our membership this summer and have welcomed over 250 new members. Following our joint presentations to new recruits with the Police Federation we have been able to achieve a near 100 per cent sign up rate. Our thanks go to John Nott, John Williams and Giles Dean.

An increase in membership means we can help even more people during difficult times. With the new joiners this summer, our charity is now able to send an additional six officers or police staff on convalescence and rehabilitation breaks and can offer a further 80 sickness vouchers to officers or staff currently off work through injury or illness.

For as little as £2.00 per month serving officers and police staff can access a range of our membership benefits, including charitable grants, convalescence breaks, sickness vouchers and discounted holidays.

As a serving officer or police staff it’s never too late to join the Benevolent Fund. The recent challenges of Coronavirus we’ve all had to face this year is testimony to just how uncertain life can be. By joining the Ben Fund, you have peace of mind that the Fund may be able to support you and your family if ever you find yourself needing assistance.

Kind donations keep coming in
We would also like to say a big thank you for all the donations that we have gratefully received so far this year. Additional funds mean we can help even more people in times of need. Small donations here and there quickly add up to a significant sum, so from everyone here at West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund, thank you.

You can donate to our police charity either online or via text. Visit our website for details on how to give to the Benevolent Fund.

Thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding in what has turned out to be a very challenging year. The Benevolent Fund is still very much open for business and will continue to operate from Guardians House. Although we are not currently allowing visitors unless they have a pre-booked appointment, people can still call the office on 0121 752 4919 or email the office if they need to get in touch.
