Update on Flint House access for Leicestershire Police Retired officers from our Chair Adam Commons

It has become apparent that some incorrect information has been passed out to our retired Leicestershire officers.

For some time our retirees have been able to pay £5 per month to a private scheme in order to access the wonderful facilities at Flint House. This is something that was not available in other police force areas.

You might have seen that Flint House now have an agreement with NARPO and are rolling out this very same membership option but on a National scale – the only difference is that retired officers will now need to pay their contribution direct to Flint House, which is actually better for the centre as they can claim 25% gift aid meaning the £5 per month can be stretched further. You do not have to be a member of NARPO to take advantage of this fantastic offer.

I can assure our retired members that despite what you have been told, your membership to Flint House has not been ripped up or scrapped, you will just need to pay your donation directly to them.

This new scheme will now benefit all retired police officers (providing you are in receipt of a police or medical pension and were not dismissed for gross misconduct) and is being heavily advertised by NARPO who were one of the driving forces to get this excellent offer over the line.
