Hertfordshire Police Federation

Chair urges members to fill in crucial survey

24 November 2023

Hertfordshire Police Federation members are being reminded to have their say on the state of pay and morale in policing.

The Police Federation of England and Wales’s (PFEW) pay and morale survey is live and runs until Monday 11 December.

The findings will provide vital evidence to support PFEW in its national pay campaign, in fighting for fair remuneration for police officers, and in calling for an independent pay mechanism.

It will also provide accurate and timely information on the current state of police morale and wellbeing, helping to inform and drive policies to support officers.

Hertfordshire Police Federation chair Luke Mitchell said: “The pay and morale survey is a chance for us to capture that information and share it with chief officers and ministers to show them what life is really like for frontline officers.

“We’ll use the findings in our campaigns for fair pay and a fairer funding system and when talking to key decision makers.”

The link to the survey and full details have been emailed to members. If you’ve not received it, please check your junk folder.

And if you have any questions or experience any issues, please email researchanddatacollection@polfed.org.
