Hampshire Police Federation statement following the conclusion of the inquest into the death of Marcel Wochna

Hampshire Police officers are out on the streets every day doing their utmost to keep the public safe and catch criminals.

Sadly, on this occasion a tragedy occurred, and our thoughts remain with the teenager's family and all those who have been affected.

Police officers have to risk assess in dynamic situations, and in this case our colleagues followed proper procedure. They are understandably devastated by the outcome of this situation.

As a Federation, we will continue to support our colleagues at this time.
