Derbyshire Police Federation

Elections

The Police Federation elections give members the opportunity to vote for the colleagues they want to represent them locally and nationally.

Police Federation representatives support and advise members in matters such as conduct, pay, allowances, terms and conditions, equality, professional development and operational policing issues.

Elections for Federation reps are held every three years with interim elections being organised if positions become vacant. The 2018 national elections were the first under new procedures introduced after the Independent Review of the Police Federation.

The latest election process started in July 2021.  20 Workplace Representatives were elected by the full membership in Derbyshire.  The election process continues through to the conclusion of the national positions in Summer 2022.
