The Benevolent Fund helps serving officers, retired officers, police staff and their families and over the last 10 years, we’ve supported thousands of people through difficult times and handed out nearly £1 million in grants and loans.
How much does membership cost?
£2 per month is all it takes to pay into the West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund. Our small monthly subscription can provide you, your family and your colleagues with vital support when it’s needed most; such as:

What you get for your £2 per month
If you’re off sick - £30 high street shopping voucher if you are off sick for more than 21 days.
Help with convalescence
£350 towards convalescence at St Michaels Lodge in the Ribble Valley. We pay for you (and another adult) to stay for 4 days, either as a long weekend or Monday to Friday at the recently million pound refurbished facility. Travel Cost of £60 if you attend the Police Rehabilitation Centre (Flint House).
Death Grant of £3500
An immediate pay out of £3500 to your chosen beneficiary(ies) in the event of your death. If you have children we will also pay them £25 per week until their 18th birthday. (Death Grants)

Refer someone for help
Don’t forget that anyone involved with the West Midlands police family can refer someone for help – a line manager, a Fed Rep or a member of the Force Personnel team. It could be a family member or a friend of someone who has died or is in difficulty.
