Fixed rate savings account launched

Derbyshire Police Federation members can save for the future with a new account from Serve and Protect credit union, a not-for-profit organisation that helps officers improve their financial resilience.

Serve and Protect has launched its first fixed-rate savings account which provides returns of up to 3.5 per cent AER, with terms available for six or 12 months.

The Fixed Saver account is offered on a first-come-first served basis. The closing date to open an account is Thursday 27 April.

Key features include:

• Fixed terms available for six or 12 months
• Invest between £500 and £5,000
• Earn between 3.04 and 3.50 per cent AER
• Savings protected by the FSCS up to £85,000.
