Pay and morale: take part in Federation survey

22 September 2022

Derbyshire Police Federation chair Tony Wetton has thanked members who have completed the annual pay and morale survey.

And he said it was vital police officers made their voices heard as he encouraged all members to take the survey.

Tony said: “Thank you to all of our members who have taken the time to complete the survey, it will really help us to build a comprehensive picture of the issues facing officers.

“I would urge as many of our members as possible to complete the survey. Please do so if you haven’t yet done so.

“It’s important that you have your say. The more members who complete it, the stronger our collective voice will be when fighting for improvements to pay and conditions on your behalf.

“I'm told that there have been some technical issues that have caused some members some difficulties but we would urge everyone to persevere, and we thank everyone for their patience.”

This year’s survey has been combined with the demand, capacity and welfare survey to provide a comprehensive picture of the realities of policing.

The survey aims to capture members’ views and experiences on pay, morale, welfare and wellbeing, and to support the Federation’s ongoing campaigns to improve pay and conditions.

It closes on Monday 3 October.
