Derbyshire Police Federation

Are you approaching retirement?

21 February 2022

Police Money Matters (PMM), on behalf of Derbyshire Police Federation, provides retirement seminars to officers who are approaching retirement.

The itinerary is tailored to suit the needs of officers who are nearing retirement or are in the last 18 months of their service. The seminars, which are run throughout the UK, are well received by attendees who rate them highly.

Members who are approaching retirement or those who have completed 30 years' pensionable service are invited to join with their spouse or partner, if appropriate, as there are some important decisions to consider as an individual and as a couple. Tea, coffee and a buffet lunch will be provided.

PMM will hold the next seminar at the Derbyshire Police Federation offices at Unit 104 Coney Green Business Park, Wingfield View, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S45 9JW at 11.15am on Thursday 17 March 2022.

If you wish to attend, please register via the link below, which will take you to the website, and click on the ‘Workshops & one-to-ones’ tab at the top of the page, which will take you to the registration page for the event:

Points to consider for your future:

  • Will your police pension be able to meet the actual future cost of living?
  • The pros and cons of paying off your mortgage
  • Cash-flow forecasting - do you really need to work following retirement?
  • Looking out for parents - specialist long-term care planning and inheritance planning
  • Looking out for children - family mortgage planning, pensions and savings.

PMM have been advising police officers across the UK for more than 22 years, and have an excellent reputation for not only delivering interesting and thought-provoking seminars but, more importantly, for their results. Their aim is to ensure that you can maintain your lifestyle throughout your retirement, up to state pension age and beyond.
