There’s still time to be part of the annual Police Federation of England and Wales conference, which kicks off today.
The conference is taking place online only and Gwent Police Federation members are able to register to take part in it here.
The major issues facing PFEW, members, and policing will be debated and discussed over the two days.
Hosted by broadcaster Ian Collins, it will bring together decision makers, key policing stakeholders, and experts.
Today’s agenda includes discussions on leadership in policing, Home Office review impact on independent panels, and disclosure and redaction, as well as retirement, misogyny, and Mutual Aid.
The day two agenda will explore industrial rights, and wellbeing, and there will be a keynote address from PFEW chair Steve Hartshorn and a Q&A panel session.
Outstanding contributions to policing will be recognised through the presentation of awards for excellence in roads policing, detectives, and women in policing.
Members who are unable to be part of the conference can follow it and join in the discussions on social media using the hashtag #PFEW23
