Derbyshire Police Federation

Annual conference: Packed agenda gets underway today

10 October 2023

The Police Federation of England and Wales kicks off its annual conference today and members in Derbyshire can still register to take part.

The conference is one of the flagship events in the policing calendar which brings together decision makers, key policing stakeholders, and experts.

Hosted by broadcaster Ian Collins, today’s agenda includes discussions on leadership in policing, Home Office review impact on independent panels, and disclosure and redaction, as well as retirement, misogyny, and Mutual Aid.

Industrial rights and wellbeing will be explored on day two when there will be a keynote address from PFEW chair Steve Hartshorn and a Q&A panel session.

The conference will also recognise outstanding contributions to policing through the presentation of awards for excellence in roads policing, detectives, and women in policing.

Members who are unable to be part of the conference can follow it and join in the discussions on social media using the hashtag #PFEW23
