I was born in Northwest London, grew up on an estate in West Hendon, moving on to Brent in 2003.
I joined the CoLP in 2015 as student officer completing the 6-month IPLDP course. Thereafter completing my two-year probation. Within the two-year period I was a Level 2 officer, cycle trained and completed my initial two-year period on D group. Shortly after becoming a tutor and an APS for response. A couple of years later I was an APS with the Volume Crime unit, thereafter, joining the then Sector Policing. Over the years becoming EIA, an active member of supporting equity and being privileged in supporting various Diversity projects in the Force.
After this, I was successful in application of joining the Outreach/ Engagement team – later being the Lead for Outreach, I have had the opportunity to engage and lead with numerous events. I am a member of several Staff support Networks and support the organisation with changing and writing Policies.
I am the founder member of the Polish Network and voted the Chair of Association Muslim Police in 2024. I attend multiple boards to support our wider community. Often, working additional hours, on a voluntary basis beyond my working hours, to support a wide range of projects and colleagues that I support.
Albeit, with various obstacles within my own career, I strive for change, patiently and professionally. I have supported various tiers of colleagues and communities. I am hard working, with my own work ethics and valuable mutual gains that I have learnt from respective colleagues. To be the change we must be the change. We move forward and I stand by this if we do not raise things nothing will change.
I was requested to become a Fed Rep a few years ago but owing to day role commitments and taking on several projects I have now decided to become a Fed Rep. The reason I am is to support our colleagues, to create a diverse and equitable environment, in a systematic and inclusive approach to help in raising issues and challenges, for and behalf of colleagues.
I am also fortunate to have worked alongside the LP SLT for a couple of years now – I have learnt so much and continue to do so and yes raise things accordingly.
Fairness, respect, equity, and emotional awareness are just some of what I represent – my door remains open for support 24/7.
