Subs during Unpaid Leave

Maternity Leave

Whilst you are on Statutory Maternity Leave, all subscription payments will continue to be taken  from your wages. 

If you go onto Unpaid leave, your memberships will cease to be taken by payroll.

Federation subscriptions do not need to be made during unpaid leave. These must recommence as soon as your return to work.

Group Insurance Scheme payments must be maintained whilst on unpaid leave. You will need to email the Federation Office for more information on making payments via bank transfer. 

You can remain a member of the Group Insurance whilst on Maternity leave for 5 years from the start date of your leave. If you do not return after 5 years, all cover will cease. 

Should there be a gap in insurance payments, then your cover will be cancelled and you will need to reapply to the scheme by completing the relevant application. Acceptance is not guaranteed.  

Career Breaks

All subscriptions will cease when you commence your Career Break.

You can remain a member of the Group Insurance Scheme for up to 12 months from the start of this leave. Please email the Federation Office for more information on making payments via bank transfer.  

If you have not returned to work after 12 months is completed, all cover will cease. 

If you do not maintain your Group Insurance payments during your career break then your cover will be cancelled and you will need to reapply to the scheme completing the relevant application. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
