Police families invited to shape Government wellbeing pledge

Families of police officers, serving and retired, have been given the opportunity to help shape the Police Covenant.

Researchers at the Open University have launched a survey to gain important insight into the impacts of policing life on the wider family, and what they need to support their wellbeing.

The project is funded by the College of Policing's National Police Wellbeing Service and the outcomes of this work will help support the Police Covenant to ensure officers, staff, volunteers and their families are not disadvantaged as a result of their service and mitigate the impact this may have on their day-to-day life.

By taking part in this survey, families of police officers, former police officers, and staff have the chance to make their voices heard and contribute to other future initiatives aimed at supporting police families.

Can you help?

Ask your family members to fill in this quick survey which should take no longer than 15 minutes. This could be your husband, wife, partner, child, brother, sister, father, mother, carer or another close relative.

There is also an opportunity to be put into a £50 prize draw for participating.
