Maintain your fitness during lockdown

13 May 2020

West Midlands Police officers and their families are being given a great opportunity to maintain their fitness from the comfort of their own home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

With many gyms being forced to shut during the current Government lockdown, GB Personal Training is offering officers a 20 per cent discount for its online services.

Owner Gemma Booth set up the online offering with her business because she was finding it tough to get to a gym herself looking after a small child and with a husband, who is a serving police officer, working shifts.

That led to her developing a website and Facebook group that serves as a shop window for services that have already proved very popular with her clients.

“I wanted to do something that made it easier for people to keep active at home if their work and family life balance made it difficult for them to gyms and classes at specific times,” says Gemma.

“So, with a husband as a police officer, I would like to offer all Federation members, their families and partners 20 per cent off any of the programmes from GB Personal Training.”

Her training plans are designed to be completed with a very small amount of home exercise equipment. They can be undertaken at any time to fit in with busy work or childcare schedules.

All work-outs are easy to follow with clear descriptions or videos to explain the process.

To access the offer, Federation members should first go to the GB Personal Training website and sign up to get a link to a closed Facebook group that will then provide them will all the information and videos they need for their chosen option.

Gemma does group sessions as well as one-to-one training and is developing a phone App which is set to launch in the coming months.
