Benevolent Fund may seek charity status

Plans for the West Midlands Police (WMP) Benevolent Fund to become a charity will be discussed at its annual general meeting on Friday 12 July.

The AGM will be held at Guardians House at 11.30am and members are welcome to attend and vote on the plans.

Subscribing members of the Benevolent Fund have been contacted either by email or post with details and a dedicated ‘Becoming a Charity’ page on its website.

Being legally registered as a charity will give WMP Benevolent Fund an official hallmark for its mission to provide financial help and support to members of the West Midlands Police family.
