13 January 2025
The Federation workplace representative elections are now open for nominations and will run until Friday 24 January.
A voting period will then take place between 3 and 25 February, with results set to be announced two days later on 27 February.
Anyone interested in standing to be a Fed rep can attend the virtual #FedElects Café tomorrow (14 January).
The session begins at 4pm and will be hosted by the Police Federation of England and Wales’ (PFEW) national wellbeing lead Hayley Aley and acting national board member Jon-Carter Lang.
Material will cover the importance, value and professional growth opportunities of the workplace representative role, as well as details on how you can nominate yourself.
You can register yourself for the Café session here.
Both regular officers and Specials within each federated rank can put themselves forward as a rep and all West Mercia Police Federation members should have been emailed information on how to put themselves in the election running.
Successful candidates will automatically become part of their Branch Council, from which they can stand to be on the local Branch Board and to be considered for further regional and national roles.
With the diversity of the Federation’s membership and wider community in mind, those from underrepresented groups are being encouraged to consider the opportunity brought by these elections.
