Sussex Police Federation

Water way to put a smile on officers' faces - as Federation gives response officers water bottles

17 March 2021

Today, The Sussex Police Federation team continued to deliver water bottles across the county - and grabbed the opportunity to speak with and support our response teams.

After the extremely busy year response officers have had policing during the pandemic, the gesture was well received, and very much deserved!

The first national Response Policing Wellbeing & Resilience ‘Week of Action’ runs from Monday 15 March to Monday 22 March with the aim of recognising the role and work of response police officers.

Sussex Police Federation Deputy Chair Donna Lonsdale said: “Post Covid-19, The Federation team are very much looking forward to getting back to visiting stations, sitting down with officers and listening to their concerns and see how they really are.”

The Sussex Police Federation team will be continuing throughout this week to try to get a water bottle to every response officer on duty in Sussex. Donna advised officers “Just make sure you put your warrant number on it…!”
