Sussex Police Federation meet with Sussex PCC Katy Bourne
9 December 2020
This week Sussex Police Federation Chair Daren Egan and Deputy Chair Donna Lonsdale had a meeting with Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne to discuss a wide variety of issues facing Sussex Police officers.
Talking after the meeting, Daren said: "Sussex Police Federation would like to thank Katy for her tweet showing her recognition of officers' hard work “going above and beyond”, particularly throughout the policing of this pandemic.
"During our meeting we also discussed the impact this has had on their wellbeing, the financial pressures officers are still facing with the high cost of living in Sussex and the combined effects these pressures have on them during this difficult and uncertain period.
"We would like officers to know that the Sussex Federation is there to offer support through whatever issues they are facing, we can be contacted during daytime office hours on 01273 404211 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Finally I would like to reassure officers that we will continue to be present and visible wherever possible to ensure officers' concerns are raised, thereby reiterating our indiscriminate open door policy to all police officers."
