Suffolk Police Federation

Nominate a colleague for Women in Policing Award

7 April 2022

The countdown is on to this year’s Outstanding Contribution to Women in Policing Award.

Nominations for the award close on 18 April and Suffolk Police Federation chair Darren Harris is encouraging members to nominate a colleague for the award.

Darren said: “This prestigious award recognises a current or recently retired officer who has gone above and beyond their job, while on duty.

“We all know of colleagues who have had a profound impact on others, well now is the opportunity for that to be recognised.”

Nominees:

  • Must be serving, or recently retired, officers of a Federated rank
  • Can be male, female or the gender in which they identify
  • Must have demonstrated how they have made an impact on, and significant contribution to, women in policing

Nominators can be police officers or members of support staff.

Submit your nomination. Nominations will then be shared with Federation Branch Boards for final approval

The winner will be presented with the award at the Federation’s annual national conference on 17 and 18 May.

The 2021 award winner was Sharon Baker of Avon and Somerset.
