Nottinghamshire Police Federation

Fed rep elections: voting is now open

6 February 2025

Voting is open for in the Nottinghamshire Police Federation elections.

Branch members can vote for the colleagues they want to be their workplace representatives.

Voting is via an online portal and closes on Sunday 23 February. The results will be announced on Thursday 27 February.

Nottinghamshire Police Federation chair Simon Riley is encouraging members to have their say.

He said: “All members will have received an email with information on the first round of elections, including how to take part in the vote.

"Please take the time to engage in the process and find out who is standing for election, and who you think will best represent you and your colleagues.

“This is your opportunity to have your say in your Federation and to help drive it forward. Please make your vote count.”

Branches

Elections are being held in most of the Police Federation branches, and in the national Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW).

The process began on 30 December when nominations opened for workplace representatives with constables, sergeants, inspectors, chief inspectors and Specials being able to self-nominate. Nominations closed on 24 January.

Members who are successful in the workplace reps election will form the new Nottinghamshire Police Federation Branch Council. They can then put themselves forward to be elected to the Federation executive, the Branch Board, and, from there, a regional or a national role.
