Nottinghamshire Police Federation

Nearing retirement?  Sign up for our seminar

14 February 2023

Police Money Matters (PMM), on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police Federation, provides retirement seminars to officers who are approaching retirement.

The itinerary is tailored to suit the needs of officers who are nearing retirement or are in the last 18 months of their service. The seminars, which are run throughout the UK, are well received by attendees, who rate them highly.

Members who are approaching retirement or those who have completed 30 years’ pensionable service are invited to join with their spouse/partner, if appropriate, as there are some important decisions to consider as an individual and as a couple. Tea, coffee and a buffet lunch will be provided.

PMM will hold the next seminar at:

The Bestwood Lodge Hotel, Country Park, Bestwood Lodge Drive, Arnold, Nottinghamshire, NG5 8HT at 10.15am on Tuesday 21 March 2023.

If you wish to attend the seminar, please register for your place. If you experience any difficulty registering just go to the Police Money Matters website and click-on ‘Workshops and one-to-ones’ on the top right-hand side and then click-on ‘register now’ for the above seminar.

The itinerary is as follows:

10.15 Tea and coffee on arrival

10.30 Start of seminar

11.30 Short break

11.35 Recommence

12.30 Conclude seminar and buffet lunch provided.

Points to consider for your future:

  • Will your police pension be able to meet the actual future cost of living?
  • The pros and cons of paying off your mortgage
  • Cash-flow forecasting - do you really need to work following retirement?
  • Looking out for parents - specialist long-term care planning and inheritance planning
  • Looking out for children - family mortgage planning, pensions and savings.

PMM has been advising police officers across the UK for more than 24 years, and has an excellent reputation for not only delivering interesting and thought-provoking seminars but, more importantly, for their results. Its aim is to ensure that you can maintain your lifestyle throughout your retirement, up to state pension age and beyond.
