Nottinghamshire Police Federation

Have your say on the issues impacting you

6 September 2022

Nottinghamshire Police Federation chair Simon Riley is encouraging members to take this year’s pay and morale survey, which was launched yesterday.

This year the survey has been combined with the demand, capacity and welfare survey. The Federation hopes it will help find out the views of frontline officers on a range of key issues including pay, morale and wellbeing.

The results will then be used to support the Federation’s campaigns for fairer pay and conditions.

Simon said: “It’s a really worrying time for our members and this is a chance for them to have their say about the issues that are impacting them.

“We’ve merged the two surveys to try to overcome survey fatigue, and I would encourage every member to take the time to complete it.

“The findings will tell us the views of our members on a range of issues – from pay to wellbeing and from demand to welfare – and they will influence our ongoing campaigns.”

Police Federation national chair Steve Hartshorn added: “We greatly appreciate members taking the time to support the service by filling in this survey, the evidence and insights from the findings will be used to inform our policies and direction going forward. Your opinion matters to us, we are listening.

“The survey is open until October 3, and will ask questions around your feelings on workload, demand, wellbeing, welfare and pay. I would urge you not to miss out. Have your say.”

Members will receive a link to the survey directly.
