Andy Symonds, Chair Norfolk Police Federation has been working hard to introduce the Federation founded National Police Healthcare Scheme into Norfolk Constabulary. I'm really excited to be working in partnership with the National Police Healthcare Scheme to offer affordable private healthcare to officers, staff and their families.

Andy worked with the force to allow those that join the scheme to have their monthly premium deducted direct from officers and staff pay. The launch date is 1st April 2025, I encourage officers and staff to take some time to review and understand the scheme.

I'm 100% confident that you will not find this level of cover for the premium you will pay. An example is if you are aged between 18-24 you'll pay just £16 per month. Aged 50-54 its £40 per month. If you wanted to include your two children then the cost for someone aged 50-54 is £96.

I truly believe this exclusive offer to police officers and staff will allow to access private medical care that otherwise would have meant waiting for the NHS to treat which as we know sadly is taking many months and in many cases years. This will allow a return to fitness and returning back to work much quicker than otherwise would be the case.

Not only does this give private medical cover the scheme also gives you free membership to the Police Treatment Centres for those that require it. The Police Treatment Centres

The scheme was created by Police Officers in 1989 and remains overseen by eight Trustees, all serving officers, who ensure the scheme is delivered on a not-for-profit basis.

Police Officers (of all ranks), Police staff and their spouses/partners and children can join the scheme.

On application, serving officers and staff receive three months’ FREE membership (all membership categories, including ‘Full Family’ membership).
On application, Student Officers receive 12 months’ FREE individual membership from the date of joining the Force.
FREE membership of the Police Treatment Centres is included for all members who are serving officers / staff.
PLUS all members have exclusive access to the scheme’s luxury holiday homes.
No medical declarations or assessments are required to join.
Deductions are made from salary.
