Job Description – Marketing & Promotions Officer

(Lancashire Member Services)


Status:                            Permanent

Location:                        Lancashire

Department:                 Federation Office

Reporting to:                Service Manager


Primary Function

  • To plan, develop and execute marketing campaigns and to measure success and present findings
  • To work as part of the office team in the day to day running of the office assisting customers with various products and services that we offer.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Act as a point of contact for member and stakeholders
  • Maintain meticulous records using the local case management system and strict confidentiality of medical and sensitive personal information is filed correctly.
  • Provide advice and advocacy as required
  • Managing and developing marketing campaigns defining what support is needed to hit objectives via strong collaboration with other team functions
  • Plan and deliver audience live and online events
  • Any other relevant duties as directed by the Service Manager


Person Specification

  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of Federation business.
  • Strong interpersonal and outstanding written and oral communication skills, a natural storyteller and creative problem solver with a strong focus on stakeholder and customer satisfaction
  • An ability to demonstrate accuracy with significant attention to detail
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Sound knowledge and experience using a full range of Microsoft suite
  • An effective telephone manner with proven ability to record accurate messages
  • Researching and analysing data to inform business decisions and make recommendations to senior managers
  • Solid knowledge of market research techniques and analytics
  • Persuasive and collaborative to be able to work across multiple stakeholders and influence drive. Great at building and maintaining relationships
  • Able to balance priorities and move quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to travel to various sites to deliver events
  • Demonstrate a desire as well as ability to cascade knowledge and skills to colleagues
  • Be prepared to embrace continuous professional development in any area as directed by Office Manager



Maths and English GCSE

2 A levels or equivalent vocational qualification


It is desirable that the post holder also has the following: -


  • Proven experience within a customer administration or marketing background
  • Awareness and understanding of employee relations issues relevant to health, wellness, workplace safety, equality, and disability management
