Officers urged to make their voice heard in annual Demand, Capacity and Welfare Survey

3 November 2020

Have you got views on policing the pandemic that you would like to share? Now is the time to do it.

Kent Police Federation is asking members to make their voice heard on the Police Federation of England and Wales’ annual Demand, Capacity and Welfare Survey.

The survey should be in officer’s inboxes.

Neil Mennie, Kent Police Federation Chairman, said: “I know many officers are busy, but their contributions can enable us to make the vital changes that they need. We can’t fight to make their working lives better if they don’t tell us what is going on for them.

“It’s crucial we get a good number of officers taking part so please take the time to fill the survey in.

The results from the survey are used to represent members and provide evidence to support ongoing campaigns, consultations and lobbying activities in a bid to improve conditions for PFEW members.

A PFEW spokesman said: “The survey helps us gather crucial evidence to fight for better working conditions for you, and help us influence positive change for the entire police service.

“If you complete it all, it should take approximately 30 minutes and gives you the opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences on a number of issues that can impact you in your day-to-day job; including the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The survey closes in less than two weeks, so please do so by Monday the 16 November.”
