Uniform concerns? Have your say in Force survey

24 February 2022

Do you feel your uniform is fit for modern day policing? Do you struggle to get trousers to fit? Do you have any issues with how your body armour fits?

Well, now is the time to speak up.

The Force is carrying out a survey on officer uniform and wants to hear your views.

It has already had more than 500 responses, with female officers in particular responding, but it wants to heart from as many people as possible so that it can get an accurate picture of where there might be issues it needs to address.

“I know everyone is feeling a little surveyed out right now, but this is a really important one for people to take part in,” says Al Wollaston, secretary of Hertfordshire Police Federation.

“Those in uniformed roles can be wearing their uniforms for hours and hours on end so it is important that it is comfortable but also fit for purpose. Parts of daily uniform play a critical role in officer safety and this makes it even more essential that officers share their views with the Force.”

You can access the survey via Yammer, and there was also an internal email. But if you want to take part in the survey cannot find the link, please contact Al.
