Time to Talk Day: open up about your mental health

4 February 2021

Officers are being encouraged to see today’s Time to Talk Day as an opportunity to open up about their mental health.

Time to Talk Day highlights the need to talk about our own wellbeing and to check in on others, something that is more important than ever right now.

Police Mutual has created a free guide, which includes information about mental health and supporting others, as well as links to relevant charities and contacts.

From advice on looking after your own wellbeing, to discussing the power of conversation, the guide is full of useful tips.

This year’s Time to Talk Day falls in Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, which is held annually to highlight the importance of children and young people’s mental health and ends on Sunday.

Police Mutual has created a guide to children’s mental health, which offers support and helpful tips for parents and guardians living with younger people.

Police Mutual offers wellbeing and financial support to the police family.
