Hertfordshire Police Federation

Sign up for Election Café and find out more about being a rep

27 May 2021

The final Police Federation Election Café event before July’s triennial elections get underway is taking place next week.

The online event gives members the chance to meet up with workplace reps and find out more about the vital role they play within the Federation.

Members are being urged to go online and register for the event and those who attend will be in line for a free gift.

The informal online chat is designed to showcase how reps and self-organised groups are vital in supporting Fed members.

The Election Café event is part of the ongoing Reps@Work campaign which highlights the incredible work reps do.

Hertfordshire Police Federation branch secretary Al Wollaston said: “The Police Federation election process starts in July so this event is a great opportunity for members to find out more about the role.

“It is open to all members and we are encouraging anyone with an interest in the Federation, and particularly those from under-represented groups to register, attend and find out more.

“Being a workplace rep can be challenging but it also very rewarding. Full training is given and the Federation courses will also benefit officers in their policing career.”

The Election Café will be open from 6pm until 7.30pm on Tuesday 1 June.
