Gloucestershire Federation Officers attend National Conference

23 May 2022

Officers from the Gloucestershire Police Federation attended the National Federation Conference held in Manchester on the 17th and 18th May 2022 in Manchester.

Up to 800 officers from all 43 branches attended, not including those of whom who joined the Conference online.

The theme this year was 'Fighting for Fairness' and the Conference featured a wide range of speakers giving valuable insights through debate and discussion, raising awareness, sharing good practice, and challenging the balance of fairness around key issues affecting the policing community. It explored conduct performance, pay and conditions, mutual aid, misogyny, Operation Uplift, pensions, LQC hearings, case file preparation and keynote addresses from National Federation Chair Steve Hartshorn and Home Secretary Priti Patel.

It also reviewed figures from the Detectives Forum Survey which provided feedback on the Attorney General Guidelines, with the Director of Public Prosecutions Max Hill in attendance to acknowledge the emotive video testimonials from Officers.

More detailed information on the Federation Conference can be found on the Latest News page of the Police Federation Site;
