The 2019 National Custody Seminar took place on 10-11 September at Hinckley and covered key issues affecting the police custody environment.
Delegates heard from a range of speakers drawn from stakeholders and partner organisations as well as the PFEW's National Custody Forum.
This annual event has developed an excellent reputation for delivering quality, relevant content aimed at those working in and around custody. And for the first time it included a national awards ceremony to celebrate the work of custody officers and staff in England and Wales.
The awards were jointly hosted by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) and the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC), sponsored by Police Credit Union. The awards recognised the following:
• Custody Officer of the Year
• Custody Support Role of the Year
• Custody Team of the Year
• Outstanding Contribution to Police Custody
