Chief Constable’s Retirement – Police Federation reaction

ESSEX Police Federation Chairman Steve Taylor has reacted to the announcement that Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh has announced his retirement.

Steve said: “Over the past five years Essex Police has improved in so many ways – we thank CC Steve Kavanagh for leaving us in a stronger place than when he arrived.”

Steve added: “His movement on Taser, body worn video and spit guards – and working with the Federation on these important issues – will be just a part of his legacy. We wish him well in the future.”
