Factsheet helps with managing stress

9 November 2022

Police Mutual has published a factsheet as part of International Stress Awareness Week which runs until November 11.

The factsheet features a range of suggestions and ideas aimed at helping people manage their worries and stress levels and provides advice to those who may be starting to feel overwhelmed.

Derbyshire Police Federation chair Tony Wetton said: “The job we do can be very stressful at the best of times and it is important that we look after our mental health.

“This handy factsheet offers some simple advice for members who are starting to feel under pressure and provides some useful tips on how to beat stress.

“People react to stress in different ways but it can lead to mental and physical health problems so it is important to be aware of the impact it can have.”

International Stress Awareness Week was created in 2018 to raise awareness about stress prevention and provides a great opportunity to take a moment to think about personal wellbeing and find out more on how to manage stress.

This year marks 24 years since the establishment of Stress Awareness Day, which is held on the first Wednesday in November each year and has been since 1998.
