In 2019 we proudly celebrated 100 years since the Federation was formed, marking a whole century of representing rank and file officers.
We have come a long way since the Federation was established by an Act of Parliament in 1919, and to mark this achievement we shared stories from Federation officers and reps, and serving and ex-police officers on these pages.
These stories looked at how the organisation has helped members during key events in police history – locally and nationally, covering issues like mutual aid, equality and how policing has changed.
On the 21 November 2019 we held a Centenary Event, celebrating 100 years since the Police Federation held its first Federation Conference. We paid tribute to our history, discussed the present and looked to the future.
This was a significant year for the Federation and a milestone in our history.
Here’s to the next 100 years.
