Review of cannabis classification comment

Today the Prime Minister has announced he wants to revisit and reclassify cannabis from a class C to a class B drug. Our response nationally is below for information.
 
Jan Berry, Chairman, Police Federation of England and Wales:
 
“The Prime Minister is right to review this decision to return cannabis to a class B drug. The Police Federation of England and Wales did not support the earlier decision to re-classify cannabis to a Class C drug. Such indecision does much harm and sends confusing messages to the most vulnerable in society”.
