Federation response to Home Secretary's announcement on policing vision

Response to Home Secretary's announcement on policing vision  Jan Berry, chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales, says:
 
“We welcome any moves that will prevent the erosion of the Office of Constable and provide clarity of roles within the police service. What is desperately needed is action to restore police officers’ discretion and a return to common sense policing.  To that end, we are keen to work with the Home Secretary to achieve these goals.”
