Federation response to Alistair Darling's comments on inflation

Paul McKeever, Chairman, Police Federation of England and Wales:

“I was reassured to hear that the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling, has stated that pay settlements over the past 12 months have been around 3.5%; consistent with the governments inflation target. We look forward to a similar settlement in this years pay deal for police officers.”
