News Review

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the Broadfield Lane Industrial Estate in Boston yesterday evening where five men were killed and a sixth was seriously injured in an explosion at an industrial estate in Lincolnshire. A spokesman for the police force appealed for anyone with information about the men and what activity was taking place at the unit to contact officers.

MPs are to meet later to decide whether to summon News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks to answer questions on the phone-hacking scandal. Rupert Murdoch has shut down the News of the World newspaper over the scandal and dropped his bid to control BSkyB.

Robert Sebbage, 18, from Tadley, Hampshire, has died after being attacked by two taxi drivers on an island in Greece, local police said. Local police said a group of Britons were attacked, leaving one dead and four injured - one seriously.
