Federation reaction to Facebook tributes to Raoul Moat

Paul McKeever, Chairman, Police Federation of England and Wales said;

 

“Raoul Moat attempted to murder the mother of his child, murdered an unarmed man and has maimed a police officer.  Anyone who sees him as a legend or hero deserves the utter contempt of the decent law abiding majority in society.  Our thoughts should be with his victims and our brave colleague PC Rathband, who in the face of such tragedy bears no malice.”
